MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- University of Memphis freshman guard Jelan Kendrick is off the team.
Coach Josh Pastner announced the move in a release on Saturday. He did not elaborate other than to say that they decided it was best to part ways.
The 6-foot-6 guard from Atlanta missed two weeks of preseason practice for "personal reasons" and had just been reinstated to the 19th-ranked Tigers on Nov. 4.
Kendrick was a McDonald's all-American.
