Watson, who went on indefinite medical leave Jan. 7, resigned March 5 after the Titans finished a 7-23 season that included a 13-game losing streak.

McCallum, who spent the last two seasons as an assistant at Indiana, was Ball State's coach from 1993 to 2000, going 126-76 with two NCAA tournament bids. He also led Houston for four seasons.

After leading Drake to a 28-5 record and a Top 25 ranking, Davis helped the Bulldogs reach their first NCAA tournament since 1971.

Williams led Marquette's recruiting efforts as an assistant to Crean last season. He joined Crean's staff last July after one year as head coach at the University of New Orleans.

Smith was the interim coach, and his contract expired last month. UMES went 4-28 last season, finishing last in the MEAC.

Hinson failed to take Missouri State to the NCAA tournament in nine seasons. Hinson had anticipated the move, which came two days after a 63-58 loss to Illinois State in the quarters of the MVC tournament.

Martin was a standout player at Purdue from 1991 through 1995, then played briefly in the NBA for Milwaukee and Vancouver. He was hired as a Purdue assistant in 2000 and was promoted to associate coach last year.

Casciano resigned, effective at the end of the season. NJIT (0-28) is the only winless school in Division I this season.

Engles, an assistant basketball coach at Columbia, Rider and Wagner the last 18 years, has spent the past five seasons on the Columbia bench.

Ford, who initially received an extension at UMass, said the passion of Oklahoma State's fans and the school's strong home court advantage were deal breakers.

Welsh was fired as the Friars' coach after a 10-season stint in which he made two NCAA tournaments. He had a 160-143 record with the Friars.

Drake's Keno Davis, the 2007-08 U.S. Basketball Writers Association Coach of the Year, has been selected to take over the Providence program.

Willis Wilson -- Story
Wilson was fired two days after the Owls finished 3-27 overall and 0-16 in Conference USA.
Ben Braun -- Story
Less than two weeks after being dismissed by Cal, Braun takes over at Rice. Braun was the 1997 Pac-10 coach of the year and went 219-154 in 12 seasons at Cal. He led the Golden Bears to five NCAA tournaments.

Jenkins' contract was not renewed on March 7. He was 80-147 in eight seasons with the Hornets, including 4-24 this year.

A former assistant at Santa Clara, Katz coached the past 15 seasons at San Joaquin Delta College, posting a 348-138 record, including three conference titles and a 108-26 record the last four years.

Jones, a former assistant at Pittsburgh, resigned after nine season with an 85-167 record at the Northeast Conference school.

Sutton filled in as interim coach after Evans left.

Horn, 35, went 111-48 in five seasons at Western Kentucky. The Hilltoppers went 29-7 this season, winning the Sun Belt Conference title and advancing to the West Regional semifinals.

Stanford hired Johnson in 2004, and he led the Cardinal to an 80-48 record in four seasons.
Johnny Dawkins -- Story
Dawkins spent the last 11 seasons at Duke under Mike Krzyzewski. He helped guide the Blue Devils to six ACC regular-season titles, seven conference tournament crowns and a national championship in 2001.

Dougherty was fired after six seasons, only one of which ended with a winning record. Dougherty was 75-108 at TCU, including 14-16 this season.

Christian was 138-58 in six years at Kent State. The Golden Flashes were 28-7 this season, losing in the first round of the NCAA tournament to UNLV.

The 67-year-old Knight abruptly resigned. If this is the end, he finishes his legendary 42-year career with 902 victories.

Molinari brings 28 years of Division I coaching experience to the table. He owns a 223-186 career record in 14 years as a head coach. Molinari spent last year as an assistant coach at Ball State.

Horn, 35, went 111-48 in five seasons at Western Kentucky but left the school to fill the South Carolina head coaching vacancy.

McDonald spent the last four years at Texas under Rick Barnes. He previously worked as an assistant at Western Kentucky under Dennis Felton from 1998-2003.
