We're not even two full weeks into the season, and there's already been some shuffling in the Power 16.
Memphis' two wins to open the season (by an average of 24 points) were impressive enough to catapult the Tigers over the Tar Heels for the No. 1 spot in the Power 16. Michigan State's one unofficial loss to Division II Grand Valley State in the final exhibition was enough to drop the Spartans four spots.
There's movement afoot and it's Week 2.

 | 5 | Georgetown | 1-0 | 122 | The Hoyas go to Ball State next Wednesday in a game originally scheduled between JT III and younger brother Ronny. With Ronny gone, expect no mercy in Muncie. |
 | 6 | Louisville | 0-0 | 111 | The Cardinals are the last of the top teams to open their season, but things get interesting quickly with a game at UNLV next week followed by the Las Vegas Invitational. Kudos for that scheduling, and we're looking forward to the results. |
 | 7 | Tennessee | 2-0 | 104 | So glad the Vols managed to squeeze in Arkansas-Monticello this week. Nothing like an early-season invasion of Boll Weevils to tell us where a team is headed. |
 | 8 | Washington State | 2-0 | 76 | The Cougars are the highest team in our poll to have played a true road game to this point. Wazzu doesn't travel again until Nov. 30 at Baylor. |
 | 9 | Indiana | 1-0 | 74 | Not a bad start for Eric Gordon in this November of freshman brilliance. But we may have to wait until the ACC/Big Ten Challenge for a true test of the emerging Hoosiers. |
 | 10 | Oregon | 3-0 | 58 | The Ducks move up a spot after sweeping Pepperdine, Pacific and Western Michigan at Mac Court. Beware next Tuesday at St. Mary's, though, as the Gaels are an at-large contender in the WCC. |
 | 11 | Duke | 2-0 | 54 | The Blue Devils, after a year of offensive doldrums, are scoring points again. All the more reason to play a road game sometime. Duke doesn't leave Durham for a true road game until Jan. 9. |

 | 13 | Gonzaga | 2-0 | 41 | So far, so good without Josh Heytfelt. But things could change quickly for the Zags with a four-game stretch of Western Kentucky, at Saint Joseph's, at UConn and Washington State on tap. |
 | 14 | Marquette | 2-0 | 32 | The uniforms have been a bigger story in Milwaukee than the Golden Eagles' pedestrian start. But we know Al McGuire is smiling about the return of light blue (if not Marquette's shot selection). |
 | 15 | Texas | 1-0 | 20 | We think the Longhorns are a Sweet 16 contender, but we'll really have no idea until the game against UCLA in early December. In the meantime, D.J. Augustin has been as good as advertised. |
 | 16 | Stanford | 3-0 | 13 | Even without Brook Lopez, the Cardinal have hammered three visitors to Palo Alto. Stanford's ascendance gives the Pac-10 a quarter of this week's Power 16. |
