San Diego (4-23) at No. 5 Gonzaga (23-2) 11:00 pm EST

SPOKANE, Washington (Ticker) -- Fifth-ranked Gonzaga begins its final homestand at The Kennel on Thursday when it hosts San Diego in a West Coast Conference matchup.

Gonzaga (23-2, 12-0 WCC) already has proven itself against its conference brethren, winning every game by double digits. The Bulldogs are bidding to go unbeaten in its WCC slate for the first time.

The team's 16-game winning streak is a school record and third in the country behind Saint Joseph's (25) and Stanford (23). The Hawks and Cardinal are the only teams to defeat the Bulldogs.

Gonazga is playing is final two games at The Kennel as it will move into a bigger facility next season.

Ronny Turiaf leads Gonzaga with a 15.4 scoring average and frontcourt partner Cory Violette is averaging 13.7 points. Point guard Blake Stepp is averaging 14.4 points and 6.9 assists as the Bulldogs' top perimeter player.

Gonzaga has won 10 of the last 11 meetings with San Diego, including an 85-73 triumph on January 29. Cory Violette and freshman Adam Morrison each scored 20 points to lead the Bulldogs. Stepp chipped in 11 points, nine assists and six rebounds.

San Diego (4-23, 1-11) has had a dismal season after capturing last season's WCC title with a victory over Gonzaga in the championship game. The Toreros, who lost WCC Player of the Year Jason Keep, have lost 15 of their last 16 games.

The Toreros are 0-13 on the road and only two of their losses have been by less than double digits.
