No. 13 Washington (13-2) at No. 12 UCLA (14-2) 4:00 pm EST

LOS ANGELES (Ticker) -- With Bobby Jones back on track, No. 13 Washington should have a heavy dose of confidence entering Saturday's Pac-10 Conference matchup with a banged-up UCLA squad, despite the Bruins' 18 straight home wins in the series.

After a string of poor outings, the senior Jones broke out for a career high-tying 22 points and nine rebounds in the Huskies' 86-77 victory at Southern Cal on Thursday.

Jones, who averaged 11.2 points in each of his last two seasons, had scored a total of 21 in his previous three games and entered with just a 10.6 average. However, he scored 15 points in the first half and teamed with Brandon Roy to help Washington hold off a late charge.

Roy had 23 points and 12 rebounds and Jamaal Williams added 14, as the Huskies snapped a two-game skid to start league play by winning their first true road game of the season. They had played 13 of their first 14 games at home and had one neutral-site contest.

Staying perfect on the road will not be easy against a Bruins club that continues to defy a host of injuries by winning tight games.

Days after learning that sophomore forward Josh Shipp was lost for the season with a persistent hip injury, UCLA eked out a 63-61 victory over Washington State on Thursday.

Arron Afflalo scored 18 points and Jordan Farmar chipped in 12 and seven assists as the Bruins raced to a 31-17 halftime lead before surviving the Cougars' late charge.

The win did not come without a cost as sophomore center Lorenzo Mata, who ranks second on the team with a 4.9 rebounding average, was lost to a right knee injury that will shelve him for up to eight weeks.

UCLA owns an 87-31 series advantage and has won seven of nine meetings over the last four seasons.
