WEST HARTFORD, Conn. -- Peter Hooley posted a double-double and Sam Rowley chipped in 17 points and eight rebounds to help Albany (N.Y.) defeat Hartford 56-46 Saturday in America East Conference play to win its fourth straight game.
Hooley, who has started the last three games for Albany, finished with 18 points and 12 rebounds, both career-highs.
Hartford (10-9, 3-3) led 32-27 at the break but Albany (16-4, 5-1) opened the second half with a layup from Rowley and 3-pointer by Hooley to tie it at 32-all. Mark Nwakamma made a layup to put Hartford back on top by two but Mike Black converted a three-point play on Albany's next possession to give the Great Danes the lead for good.
The play marked Black's only field goal. The guard entered as Albany's leading scorer -- 16 points per game -- but was held to 1-of-13 shooting.
Yolonzo Moore II led Hartford with 18.
