EVANSVILLE, Ind. (AP) -- Kendrick Fox had 17 points, including the game-winning 3-pointer, as Mississippi overcame a 13-point second-half deficit to beat Evansville 69-66 Wednesday night.

Aaron Harper also had 17, while Chris Rhodes had 11 and Justin Johnson had 10 for the Rebels (3-3), who trailed 32-25 at the break.

Andre Burton led Evansville with 16, while Clint Cuffle had 14, Matt Webster had 13 and Lucious Wagner had 10 for the Purple Aces (1-5).

Evansville took a 38-25 lead early in the second half on 3-pointers by Robert Nelson and Lucious Wagner, but the Rebels' shooting caught fire in the second half as Mississippi connected on 15-of-24 field goals (62 percent) and 9-of-13 3-pointers (69 percent).

Mississippi took its first lead of the game at 61-60 on a free throw by Tommie Eddie with 3:39 left, but the Purple Aces erased that lead a few seconds later when Eddie fouled Matt Webster, who sank one of two free throws.

A 3-pointer by Harper gave the Rebels the lead again at 64-61 with 2:37 left. Evansville tied it again at 66-66 with 13 seconds left on a 3 by Cuffle, but Fox answered with a 3-pointer at 0:04 and the Purple Aces were unable to get off another shot.
