GREENVILLE, S.C. (AP) -- Maleye Ndoye scored 27 points as Furman shot a season-high 55 percent in a 98-87 win over High Point on Saturday.

Robby Bostain added 21 points, and Tony Carter scored 18 for the Paladins (5-4), who hit 29 of their 53 field goals.

Ndoye was 9-for-14 for the field and hit 4-of-6 3-pointers.

Jerry Echenique had a season-high 21 points for the Panthers (5-4), who had a four-game win streak snapped.

Furman took the lead for good when Tony Carter's basket brought them to 28-26 with 6:18 left in the first. The Paladins went on a 15-point run and ended the first half ahead 51-34.

High Point closed the lead to four at the start of the second half on a 13-point run, but that was as close as they'd get. Furman responded with a 17-8 run to take a 68-55 lead on Ndoye's 3-point shot with 12 minutes to go.

The Panthers came within six points at 86-80 on Jeff Allen's basket with 1:37 left. The Paladins then closed the game making 12 free throws in the last 1:31.
