"We were fortunate to win the game. I give all the credit to Centenary because they outplayed us and outhustled us for loose balls. However, I'll take any win we can get," LSU head coach John Brady said.

The Gents scored four points in the first minute of the second half to go up by seven, but the Tigers slowly chipped away at the lead. LSU took its first lead of the game at 44-42 on an Antonio Hudson 3-pointer and held off Centenary throughout the rest of the half.
