STATESBORO, Ga. (AP) -- Maleye Ndoye had 26 points and Furman held Georgia Southern to 36 percent shooting to end the Eagles' 13-game winning streak with a 77-72 victory Saturday night.

Tony Carter added 12 and Robby Bostain scored 11 for the Paladins (12-9, 4-6 Southern Conference).

Fred Bennett had 13 of 22 points in the final three minutes for Georgia Southern (17-4, 8-2), and he also had 11 rebounds for his first double-double of the season. Elton Nesbitt scored 16 but finished only 5-of-19 from the field.

The Eagles raced to a 32-17 lead in the first half and appeared to be in control. But they had only three more baskets for the remainder of the half and Furman rallied to within four at the break.

A 10-1 run keyed by two jumpers by Carter in the second half gave the Paladins their first lead at 45-43, and they closed out the victory by outscoring Georgia Southern 16-4 down the stretch.

The Eagles hadn't lost since Dec. 17, at Southern Mississippi.
