IOWA CITY, Iowa (AP) -- Jeff Horner scored 20 points and Brody Boyd added 14 to lead Iowa to a 69-61 victory over Michigan Saturday.

Horner got 15 of his points in the second half to help the Hawkeyes (13-9, 6-5 Big Ten) outscore Michigan 41-29 in the final 20 minutes and beat the Wolverines for just the second time in their last seven games.

Lester Abram led Michigan (13-8, 4-6) with 13 points and Dion Harris had 10. But the Wolverines hurt themselves with poor shooting. Michigan shot 32 percent from the floor, 24 percent in the second half and just 20 percent from behind the 3-point arc.

Iowa also shot below its season average but benefited from spreading the scoring around. Glen Worley scored 13 points and Pierre Pierce had 11 as the Hawkeyes shot 38.2 percent for the game, below their season average of 46.3 percent, the Big Ten's second best.

Boyd's 3-pointer with 12:10 left in the game sparked an 18-5 Iowa run that put Iowa in control. Horner followed with a 3-pointer less than a minute later to put Iowa in front 44-42.

Boyd and Horner then closed out the scoring run, hitting 3-pointers just 30 seconds apart with a little more than seven minutes to go and Iowa leading 56-45.

The Hawkeyes shot well enough from the free throw line in the closing minutes and Michigan, with its outside shooting struggles, never got closer than six points in the final minutes.

In the first half, Michigan trailed by nine points before clawing back in the final minutes of the half to take the lead. The Wolverines outscored Iowa 14-3 in the final five minutes, including hitting six straight free throws, to take a 32-28 halftime lead.
