    AUBURN, Ala. (AP) -- Ian Young scored 22 points and hit 5-of-8 3-pointers, leading Auburn to a 79-67 victory over Louisiana Tech on Saturday.

    The Tigers (4-0) closed the first half on an 11-1 run to break a 29-29 deadlock, hitting three 3-pointers during that decisive stretch.

    Louisiana Tech (1-2) cut the lead to 48-42 early in the second half but Ronny LeMelle's 3-pointer ended the rally and Auburn led by as many as 18.

    Paul Millsap had a career-high 31 points and 18 rebounds for the Bulldogs. He was 12-of-18 shooting while the rest of the team made just 13-of-45.

    Toney Douglas had 14 points and seven rebounds for Auburn, while Daniel Hayles added 12 and Nathan Watson 10.

    Corey Dean had 19 points for the Bulldogs, who outrebounded the Tigers 45-36.
