MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) -- Jermaine Smith hit a 3-pointer with 5
seconds left, and Alabama State took a 63-61 victory over South
Alabama on Tuesday night.
The Hornets (9-2) trailed 61-59, before Smith's shot. Alexander
Oliver squeezed in a free throw in the final seconds to bolster the
South Alabama led 32-26 at halftime, but were held to 39 percent
shooting in the second half.
