LUBBOCK, Texas (AP) -- Devonne Giles scored 18 points to lead five double-digit scorers as Texas Tech got a 105-67 victory Wednesday night against Southern Methodist University.

The Red Raiders (3-1) went on a 23-5 run over the game's first 5½ minutes, while SMU (2-2) had seven turnovers including three travel calls.

The Mustangs were hurt by a poor shooting effort throughout the game, shooting 25-of-57 from the field. They also committed 24 turnovers, resulting in 36 Tech points.

Tech committed just nine turnovers on the night.

Tech's four other players to score in double figures were Jarrius Jackson with 16, Ronald Ross and Curtis Marshall with 15 points each and Martin Zeno with 12.

The Mustangs were led by Justin Isham, who scored 16 points and Devon Pearson, who added 12.

SMU trailed by as many as 50 points at numerous times in the second half. The win marked the second time in three home games this season Tech has broken the 100-point mark. The win improve Bob Knight's nonconference record at Tech to 35-5.
