Michigan 67, High Point 53

ANN ARBOR, Mich. (AP) -- Chris Hunter scored a career-high 22
points and Courtney Sims added 12 Tuesday to help injury-depleted
Michigan to a 67-53 victory over High Point.

Walk-on sophomore John Andrews had 10 points for the Wolverines
(5-3), who were playing without three starters -- guards Daniel
Horton and Lester Abram, and forward Graham Brown.

Horton is sidelined indefinitely with an injury to his left
knee, Brown is out four to six weeks following surgery for a hernia
and Abram is scheduled to have surgery on his left shoulder and
will miss the remainder of the season.

Michigan broke open a close game by scoring 10 of the first 14
points of the second half to go up 42-31 with 15:32 left. Andrews,
filling in for Abram, sparked the run with a layup and 3-point

Zione White hit three straight baskets, including two
3-pointers, midway through the second half to pull the Panthers
within 50-45.

But the Wolverines scored nine of the next 10 points to take a
