ANN ARBOR, Mich. (AP) -- Chris Hunter scored a career-high 22 points and Courtney Sims added 12 Tuesday to help injury-depleted Michigan to a 67-53 victory over High Point.

Walk-on sophomore John Andrews had 10 points for the Wolverines (5-3), who were playing without three starters -- guards Daniel Horton and Lester Abram, and forward Graham Brown.

Horton is sidelined indefinitely with an injury to his left knee, Brown is out four to six weeks following surgery for a hernia and Abram is scheduled to have surgery on his left shoulder and will miss the remainder of the season.

Michigan broke open a close game by scoring 10 of the first 14 points of the second half to go up 42-31 with 15:32 left. Andrews, filling in for Abram, sparked the run with a layup and 3-point basket.

Zione White hit three straight baskets, including two 3-pointers, midway through the second half to pull the Panthers within 50-45.

But the Wolverines scored nine of the next 10 points to take a 59-46 lead and held on the rest of the way. Titus Byrd led High Point (2-6) with 17 points and White and Danny Gathings each added 10.
