THIBODAUX, La. (AP) -- Adonis Gray led Nicholls State with 16 points as the Colonels defeated Davenport 82-62 Thursday night.

Jason Wilkins added 14 points, Dominique Geason had 11 and Shawn King had 10 for Nicholls State (2-5). Wilkins, Geason and B.J. Searles also grabbed six rebounds each and Willie Depron dished out 11 assists.

James Allen led Davenport (1-10) with 18 points and four assists. Tom Poe and Brannon Gates added 14 points apiece. Gates also pulled down eight rebounds for the Panthers.

Nicholls State led 43-28 at the half.
