AMHERST, Mass. (AP) -- Craig Smith scored 20 points and unbeaten Boston College closed the game with a 13-2 run, beating Massachusetts 67-48 on Sunday in the 10th annual Commonwealth Classic.

The victory was the sixth straight for the Eagles (11-0) over UMass (6-4).

Jermaine Watson had 13 points and Sean Marshall added 12 for BC, which led 30-22 at halftime.

Rashaun Freeman, who was held to 5-for-13 shooting from the field, had 13 points for the Minutemen, while Anthony Anderson, returning from a three-game suspension, scored 12.

After two free throws, a basket by Freeman and a 3-pointer by Anderson, UMass came within 42-37, but Watson made two straight baskets and the Eagles gradually pulled away, closing the game with the 13-2 run over the final 4 minutes.
