POCATELLO, Idaho (AP) -- Kevin Criswell and Andrew Straight each
had 15 points as Montana blew out Idaho State 70-41 in the Big Sky
conference opener for both teams Thursday night.
The Grizzlies (7-7, 1-0 Big Sky) knocked down three 3-point
shots in the first two minutes and would connect on 10 in the first
half to take a commanding 45-17 lead at the break.
A 22-1 scoring binge midway through the first half effectively
ended the contest.
Meanwhile Idaho State (6-7, 0-1) shot a dismal 15 percent from
the floor in the first half and only 19 percent for the game.
The Bengals were coming off a loss to Portland on January 2nd
where they scored only 34 points. Idaho State's Jeff Gardner was
the game high scorer with 16.
