Buffalo 83, Central Michigan 67

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. (AP) -- Turner Battle scored 22 points and
dished out nine assists to lead Buffalo to an 83-67 win over
Central Michigan on Thursday night.

The Chippewas took an early second-half lead on two 3-pointers
by Kevin Nelson, but Buffalo responded with a 17-0 run that lasted
more than six minutes and was capped by a pair of free throws from
Yassin Idbihi.

Central Michigan never got closer than 12 points the rest of the
way as the Buffalo defense clamped down to force 21 Chippewa
turnovers for the game.

The Bulls (8-3, 1-2 Mid-American) led 39-37 at halftime and went
on to shoot 55.5 percent in the second half and 52.8 percent for
the game.

Central Michigan (6-5, 1-2) hit just 8-of-36 from the field in
the second half and finished at 30.3 percent shooting.

Battle finished 7-of-14 from the field -- including three
3-pointers -- and 5-of-7 from the foul line. Calvin Cage added 15
points off the bench for the Bulls while Idbihi and Daniel Gilbert
each scored 12.

Nelson scored 20 points off the bench -- 18 off of 3-pointers --
to lead Central Michigan, while Giordan Watson added 12 and reserve
Eddie Spencer scored 10.
