PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) -- Seamus Boxley scored 25 points and grabbed eight rebounds to carry Portland State to a 79-69 win over Sacramento State on Thursday.

Blake Walker added 15 points and Will Funn had 11 points and 12 assists for the Vikings (10-4, 2-0 Big Sky Conference), who won their sixth straight game.

Jameel Pugh led Sacramento State (3-10, 0-1) with 18 points. DaShawn Freeman and Jason Harris added 14 points each for the Hornets.

Portland State survived a season-high 29 turnovers and 63 percent shooting from the free throw line. Sacramento State committed 24 turnovers and shot 37 percent from the field.

The Hornets trailed 41-24 at the half, but rallied to within one -- 57-56 -- when Pugh capped a 13-2 run with a 3-pointer. But the Vikings hit the Hornets with a burst of their own and never relinquished the lead.

Sacramento State started the first half in good shape, leading 21-20 with just under seven minutes left. But the Vikings went on a 19-2 run over the next four minutes to take a commanding lead. Boxley had nine points during the stretch, which was punctuated by Antone Jarrell's reverse breakaway dunk. ^
