BOSTON (AP) -- Chaz Carr scored 15 points and Rashad Bell added 13 to lead Boston University to a 67-51 win over Maryland-Baltimore County on Thursday night.

The win, Boston University's fourth straight, kept the Terriers (11-3, 5-0 America East) undefeated in league play and tied with Vermont for first place heading into Sunday's showdown with the Catamounts in Burlington. The Terriers have won 17 straight regular season America East games dating back to a 59-57 to Vermont on Jan. 17, 2004.

Boston put UMBC (6-8, 1-4) away early as five different Terriers scored during a 17-4 run to open the game.

The Terriers' defense, ranked fifth in NCAA Division I at 56.0 points per game entering play, forced 10 turnovers and held the Retrievers to just 5-of-30 shooting in on the way to a 32-16 halftime lead.

The Terriers opened the second half with a 12-2 run to jump ahead 44-18.

Brian Hodges and Andrew Feeley each scored 10 points for the Retrievers, who shot just 30 percent from the field and fell to 1-5 on the road.

Etienne Brower added 10 points for Boston U.
