FRESNO, Calif. (AP) -- Ja'Vance Coleman scored 25 points and Fresno State scored 14 straight points midway through the second half to defeat Boise State 89-82 on Thursday night.

After Franco Harris' 3-pointer with 10:37 left gave Boise State (7-8, 1-3 Western Athletic Conference) a 65-63 lead for its first edge since the opening minutes, the Bulldogs (10-4, 4-1) held the Broncos scoreless for the next 8:15.

Dreike Bouldin scored five points and Mustafa Al-Sayyad had four in the run that gave Fresno State a 77-65 lead. Bouldin and Al-Sayyad finished with 15 points and eight rebounds apiece.

The Broncos pulled to 84-80 on Blackburn's reverse layup with 36.4 seconds left. With Boise State fouling quickly, Fresno State made five of six free throws in the closing seconds after struggling from the line until that point.

Jermaine Blackburn led the Broncos with 23 points and Harris added 13.

Coleman scored nine straight points to finish the first half. Donovan Morris added 18 overall for Fresno State.

Fresno State shot 54.2 percent from the field compared to 42.3 percent for Boise State.
