Vermont 75, Hartford 55

WEST HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) -- Taylor Coppenrath led all scorers
with 25 points and pulled down eight rebounds to help Vermont to a
75-55 win over Hartford Sunday.

Vermont (15-3, 10-0 America East) scored the first seven points
of the game, built a double-digit lead in just three minutes and
never let the lead dip into single digits the rest of the game.

Hartford (7-12, 3-7) missed nine of its first 11 attempts and
fell behind 45-26 at halftime as Vermont shot 68 percent while the
Hawks only managed 24 percent shooting.

Hartford went on a 7-2 run with 11:15 remaining in the game to
pull within 13 points. But Coppenrath hit a free throw and David
Hehn hit a 3-pointer after a Hartford miss to give Vermont a 60-43

The Hawks shot 31 percent for the game, but committed a
season-low three turnovers. Charles Ford led Hartford with 13
points, while Aaron Cook and Bo Taylor each chipped in 12.

Vermont outrebounded Hartford 45-27. T.J. Sorrentine had 16
points, seven rebounds and seven assists for the Catamounts, while
Germain Mopa Njila added 13 points.
