    STONY BROOK, N.Y. (AP) -- Ernest Turner scored 20 of his 22 points in the second half and Maine beat Stony Brook 76-63 Sunday, the Seawolves' fourth straight loss.

    Kevin Reed had 18 points for the Black Bears (10-9, 5-5 America East), who had lost three of four, while Joe Campbell added 14 and Mark Flavin 12.

    Mike Popoko had 16 points for Stony Brook (7-12, 2-8), while Cori Spencer had 15 and Bobby Santiago 14.

    Turner had five points in the 11-3 run to open the second half that gave the Black Bears a 41-33 lead with 17:21 to play. Popoko's 3-pointer got Stony Brook within 43-39 at 16:17, but Turner scored seven points in the 15-2 run that gave Maine a 58-41 lead with 9:49 left.

    The Seawolves got as close as 69-59 on a free throw by Antwan Hardy with 1:50 to play.
