FAIRFAX, Va. (AP)-- Tony Skinn scored 22 points and put in a key second-chance basket with 2:03 to play to help George Mason pull away late for an 82-68 win over Delaware on Monday night.

The Patriots (11-8, 6-4 Colonial Athletic Association) won their fourth straight despite letting a 45-35 halftime lead slip away by hitting just two field goals in the first eight minutes of the second half.

Delaware (7-14, 4-6) tied the game at 52 with 12:10 to play on a driving layup by Andrew Washington. However, the Blue Hens managed just 16 points the rest of the way, turning the ball over 16 times in the game.

John Vaughan scored 14 of his career-high 16 points in the first for the Patriots, hitting three first-half 3-pointers.

Harding Nana and Rulon Washington each scored 16 points for the Blue Hens, who lost their fifth straight.

Washington was a non-factor in the second half, shooting just 1-for-7 from the floor after scoring 13 points and making three 3-pointers in the first.

Trailing 67-60 with 2:22 to play, Delaware had a chance to get closer when Will Thomas missed two free throws. The Blue Hens couldn't secure the rebound and Skinn hit a layup with the extra chance to push the lead to nine. The Patriots didn't allow the Blue Hens to get within seven the rest of the way.

Thomas scored 12 points and Folarin Campbell added 11 for the Patriots, who won their fourth straight.
