SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) -- Blake Walker had 26 points and 10
rebounds in first-place Portland State's 71-66 victory over
Sacramento State on Saturday night.
Seamus Boxley added 23 points and 14 rebounds for the Vikings
(16-6, 8-2 Big Sky), who have won 12 of their last 14 games.
Portland State built a 40-26 lead on Josh Neeley's basket with
1:47 left in the first half. The Vikings' full-court press held the
Hornets to 6-for-29 shooting in the first half.
But Portland State missed its first 11 shots in the second half,
and Sacramento State gradually rallied to tie the game at 62 on
Pugh's 3-pointer with 3:01 to play.
But Walker's 3-pointer moments later gave Portland State the
lead for good. The Vikings also made four straight shots in the
last 13 seconds.
