SANTA BARBARA, Calif. (AP) -- Utah State shot 71.1 percent from
the field and won for the sixth straight game, 80-50 over UC Santa
Barbara on Saturday night.
Spencer Nelson had 19 points, nine assists and six rebounds as
the Aggies (17-5, 8-3 Big West Conference) completed a four-game
road trip where their average margin of victory was 27.5 points.
The Gauchos (8-12, 5-7) set a school record for highest shooting
Utah State made 8-of-11 from 3-point range in the first half to
take a 46-28 lead. It was 10-for-15 in the game from the arc, with
Jaycee Carroll making 5-of-7 for 17 points. Nate Harris added 14
points and nine rebounds.
