CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) -- Moussa Diagne scored 17 points and Tony Carter hit a go-ahead 3-pointer with three minutes left to lift Furman past the Citadel 63-60 on Monday night.

The Paladins (13-9, 6-4 Southern Conference) watched their 58-50 lead disappear after Citadel's 10-0 run. When Dante Terry hit a 3-pointer to close the spurt, the Bulldogs (12-9, 4-7) were ahead 60-58 with 3:50 remaining.

But Carter hit his three just 38 seconds later to regain the lead for Furman. The Citadel could not recover as it lost its fourth straight game.

Kevin Hammack had a lay-up opportunity in traffic that would've put the Bulldogs ahead in the final seconds. But he could not convert and Furman's Eric Webb closed the scoring out with two foul shots.

Robby Bostain added 16 points for the Paladins. Carter finished with 6 points and 10 rebounds.

Warren McLendon and Matt Davis had 10 points each to lead The Citadel.
