DELAND, Fla. (AP) -- Joshua Peppers scored 12 of his 19 points in
the second half to lead Central Florida to a 71-62 victory over
Stetson on Thursday night.
There were 16 lead changes in the game, including 10 in the
second half, and the teams were tied 11 times before UCF pulled
away in the final minutes.
The Knights used four 3-pointers, including back-to-back
3-pointers from Peppers, to gain a 62-58 advantage with 3:36 left.
Baskets by UCF's Williams and Will Bakanowsky made 66-58 with
Johnson made two free throws with 31 seconds remaining and
another with 20 seconds left to make it 71-60, the largest lead of
the game for UCF.
UCF's Marcus Johnson and Stetson's Borislav Djordjic were
ejected with 12:46 to play after being called for flagrant fouls.
