SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) -- Dreike Bouldin scored a career-high 22
points while Fresno State matched its season high with 12
3-pointers in a 74-55 win over San Jose State on Thursday.
Bouldin also had 10 rebounds and keyed the Bulldogs' perimeter
shooting with three 3-pointers. His soaring one-handed dunk in the
midst of a 10-2 run in the second half gave Fresno State its
biggest lead of the game at 71-49.
Ja'Vance Coleman had 14 points and Dwight O'Neil added 12 for
the Bulldogs (15-12, 9-8 WAC), who snapped a three-game losing
streak with their 12th consecutive win over the Spartans.
Fresno State had struggled in the second half of each of its
last four losses but didn't have that problem against the
overmatched Spartans. After watching a nine-point lead in the first
half evaporate, the Bulldogs went on an 18-5 run early in the
second half to take control for good.
Bouldin, whose previous career-high of 20 points came on Feb. 16
against Tulsa, had 10 points in the first half against San Jose
State, then helped Fresno State pull away in the second half.
