NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- Mario Moore hit a running three-pointer
from 30 feet at the buzzer as Vanderbilt stunned Oregon 76-75
Wednesday night.
Derrick Byers scored 20 points, grabbed five rebounds and had
seven assists for the Commodores (5-0), who rallied from an
11-point deficit at the half.
Moore scored 15 points, including 13 in the second half. Julian
Terrell had 12 points.
Aaron Brooks hit a driving layup with 3.3 seconds to play to
give Oregon a 75-73 lead, setting up Moore's last-second shot for
the win.
Malik Hairson scored a career-high 25 points and had 10 rebounds
for the Ducks (4-1) on their first road game of the season. Brooks
scored 15 and
Bryce Taylor added 13.
Vanderbilt used a 17-5 run midway through the second half to
take the lead 60-58 on a Moore breakaway layup with 6:58 to play.
Both teams entered the game 4-0, with Oregon winning its first
four games by an average of 33 points.
Vanderbilt extended its non-conference winning streak to 28
games and moved to 5-0 for the fourth time in Kevin Stallings'
seven seasons as coach.
