Hofstra 69, Binghamton 55

HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. (AP) -- Antoine Agudio scored 15 of his 19 points
in the opening half as Hofstra kept Binghamton winless with a 69-55
victory Thursday night.

Carlos Rivera added 13 points and seven assists for the Pride
(3-1), who were coming off a victory over St. John's on Tuesday.
Adrian Uter had 12 points and a game-high 10 rebounds, and Loren
Stokes had 10 points for Hofstra.

Sebastian Hermenier scored 17 points, and Troy Hailey added 12
for the Bearcats (0-5).

Zygis Sestokas scored all five of his points in Hofstra's
game-opening 17-7 run, capped by Stokes' foul shot at 13:44.

Binghamton answered with an 18-5 spurt, led by Andre Heard's
five points, to get as close as 25-22 at 6:15. Heard finished the
rally with a 3-pointer.

But Hofstra took control by opening the second half with a 22-9
run -- led by Rivera's seven points -- that gave the Pride their
largest lead at 59-39 on Stokes' 3-pointer at 10:58.
