LYNCHBURG, Va. (AP) -- Larry Blair and Anthony Smith scored 18
points apiece Friday night to lead Liberty to an 84-50 victory over

The Flames (2-3) never trailed but led by only five with 5:15
left in the first half. They closed the half with a 17-4 run to
take a 43-25 lead at the break, then scored the first six points of
the second half.

Liberty scored 29 points off 25 turnovers and held Division III
Lynchburg (0-7) to 32 percent shooting from the field.

Damien Hubbard scored 15 points for Liberty, which shot 46
percent from the field, including 9-of-22 from 3-point range. Eric
Bigby added 12 points and Rell Porter grabbed 11 rebounds.

Pete Manos led Lynchburg with 18 points. Matthew Sweeney came
off the bench to score 12.
