TULSA, Okla. (AP) -- Caleb Green scored 20 points and grabbed 10
rebounds to help lead Oral Roberts to a 68-52 win over its
crosstown rival Saturday.
Tulsa (1-4) committed 27 turnovers, including 13 in the first
half, and fell behind quickly. The Golden Hurricane trailed by 20
points less than 10 minutes into the contest and by 41-17 at
ORU (4-2) jumped to a 6-0 lead and built an 11-point margin on a
steal and slam by Green with 15:03 to play. Green hit two more
lay-ups and added a hook shot to help the Eagles build a 30-8 lead.
The closest TU came after that was the final margin.
Green added four steals and held TU's forward Charles Ramsdell,
who came in averaging 12.8 points per game, scoreless.
"I wish Caleb would play 28 games a season like he does every
year against Tulsa," ORU coach Scott Sutton said of his leading
Anthony Price scored 10 of Tulsa's 17 first-half points. He
finished with 17 points and 7 rebounds to lead Tulsa in both
categories. He also led Tulsa with six turnovers.
Ken Tutt added 14 points for ORU, which shot 40.3 percent, and
outrebounded Tulsa 39-37.
