GREENVILLE, S.C. (AP) -- Junior guard Ross DeRogatis tied his
career high with 28 points on 8-of-10 3-point shootings to lead San
Diego over Furman 80-73 on Saturday.
Senior center Nick Lewis added 16 points in a game-high eight
rebounds for the Toreros (4-2), who won their third straight game.
Senior center Moussa Diagne had a career-high 25 points on 12-of-17
shootings to pace the Paladins (3-3).DeRogatis scored 10 of San Diego's final 14 points, including a
3-pointer from the right corner with 17 seconds left to cut short
the 19-4 Furman rally and give the Toreros breathing room at 76-71.His two free throws 8 seconds later made it 78-71 and sealed the
win.DiRogatis hit 5-of-7 bonus shots in the first half as San Diego
broke from a 23-22 deficit to take a 43-26 halftime lead.Diagne scored 8 during a 16-6 run to open the second half and
cut the Toreros lead to 49-42.San Diego rallied to regain a 17-point advantage at 69-52 on
DiRogatis' 3-pointer with 4:34 remaining .Furman then opened its 19-4 run on Eric Webb's 3-point shot at
4:18.
