Kent State 83, Cleveland St. 68

KENT, Ohio (AP) -- Jay Youngblood scored 19 points and Nate
Gerwig added 11 points and 10 rebounds to lead Kent State to an
83-68 win over Cleveland State on Saturday.

The Vikings pulled within 66-57 with 7:58 remaining but Kent
State went on a 12-1 run to seal it. Omni Smith made consecutive
3-pointers to start the spurt.

Kevin Warzynski had 13 points and DeAndre Haynes finished with
10 points and five rebounds for the Golden Flashes (3-2), who
outrebounded Cleveland State 43-31.

J'Nathan Bullock led the Vikings (2-2) with 21 points. Bullock
connected on 5 of 9 shots from the field and 11-of-20 from the
free-throw line.

Raheem Moss, who finished with 16 points, made a 3-pointer to
tie it at 31 with 3:59 left in the first half.

Gerwig then converted a layup to start a 7-0 run for the Golden

Kent State shot 55 percent from the field in the first half and
led 44-35 at the break.
