DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) -- Sean Tracy sank a free throw with 13
seconds left as Drake beat North Dakota State 69-68 Friday in the
second round of the Drake Classic.
The Bison (2-5) rallied from a seven-point halftime deficit and
had a chance to win it at the buzzer, but Ben Woodside's 3-point
attempt hit the back of the rim.The Bulldogs(5-2) will meet Montana(6-1) in the championship
game Saturday night. Montana beat Mississippi Valley State 81-57
earlier in the day.Brett Winkelman and Andre Smith led the Bison with 16 points
apiece. Mike Nelson and Winkelman each hit 3-pointers to give the
Bison a seven-point lead with 5:19 left.Three minutes later, the Bulldogs -- led by Al Stewart's three
straight baskets -- tied the game and hit free throws down the
stretch for the win. Stewart led Drake with 20 points.Both teams shot 53 percent from the field.The Bison outrebounded the Bulldogs 32-25.
