LYNCHBURG, Va. (AP) -- Parnell Smith scored 16 points and Calvin
Cage had 13 Tuesday night as Buffalo started fast and never trailed
in a 66-53 victory against Liberty.
The Bulls (7-1) also got 12 points each from Yassin Idbihi and
Mario Jordan. They led 34-24 at halftime and enjoyed their largest
margin of the night at the final buzzer.The Flames (2-4) were led by Larry Blair with 30 points. He
finished 13-for-25 from the field; the rest of the team was
7-for-24. Buffalo's reserves outscored Liberty's 19-9.The victory came in the Bulls' first game since they drew a vote
in this week's top 25 of The Associated Press, their first
recognition in the poll since they rejoined Division I in 1992.
