Sam Manhanga scored 18 to lead the Bears (1-5), who lost their third in a row.

Manhanga scored two field goals as the Bears took an early 9-5 lead, but Torey Thomas found Simmons for an alley-oop dunk that sparked a 14-2 run for Holy Cross over the next 7:42.

Clifford had four straight field goals during the run, the last one a dunk after a behind-the-back pass from Colin Cunningham.

Manhanga scored eight points as Brown pulled within 26-21 with 4:57 left in the first half, but Holy Cross finished the half with an 11-1 run for a 37-22 halftime lead.
