PROVO, Utah (AP) -- Trent Plaisted's tip-in of a Rashaun Broadus shot with 11 seconds remaining helped lift BYU to an 80-77 win over Boise State Wednesday night.

The Cougars (4-2) held a 12-point lead at 72-60 with 7:28 minutes remaining when the Broncos (3-3) went on a 15-3 run that tied the game at 75.

Fernando Malaman then scored with 1:12 left on an assist from Broadus to put the Cougars up 77-75.

That's when Plaisted scored the decisive bucket.

Koby Carl hit two free throws for BSU and Broadus hit one.

Tyler Tiedeman did have an opportunity to tie the game with a 3-pointer at the buzzer, but his shot bounced off the rim.

After trailing by eight at halftime, BYU went on a 14-2 run that helped them to a 50-46 lead. Brock Reichner keyed the run with 10 points on three 3-pointers and a technical free throw, called on Boise State coach Greg Graham.

In the first half, Boise State jumped out to a 7-0 lead and never trailed in the half. BYU was able to tie the game at 16-16 on a free throw by Plaisted, but lay ups by Kareem Lloyd and Eric Lane put the Broncos back on top. Boise State took a 44-36 lead into the halftime locker room.

Plaisted had a game-high 19 points and 10 rebounds. BYU's entire starting five scored in double figures with Malaman scoring 19, Reichner 12, Broadus and Jimmy Balderson both with 10.

Seth Robinson led the Broncos with 15, Karl pitched in 14 and Tez Banks and Matt Bauscher each scored 13.
