Boston U. 67, New Hampshire 46

BOSTON (AP) -- Corey Hassan scored 18 points and Omari Peterkin
added a career-high 16 points and eight rebounds as Boston
University beat New Hampshire for the 11th consecutive time 67-46
on Thursday.

Bryan Geffen and Brian Macon each added 10 points for the
Terriers (2-5, 1-0 America East), who won their second consecutive
game after losing their first five.

Mike Christensen and Tyrece Gibbs each had 11 points for New
Hampshire (2-6, 0-1), which shot 38 percent and turned the ball
over 17 times.

The Wildcats jumped to a 5-0 lead, but Peterkin scored eight
points, Hassan added nine and Macon had six to spark a 30-5 run by
the Terriers.

Geffen gave the Terriers their first lead with a 3-pointer that
made it 11-8 with 12:39 left in the first half.

After Christensen pulled New Hampshire within 11-10, BU scored
19 unanswered points and held the Wildcats scoreless for more than
eight minutes.

Christensen ended the Wildcats' scoreless drought with 4:21 left
in the half.

The Terriers forced 11 first-half turnovers to take a 37-16
halftime lead.

Brandon Odom hit two 3-pointers midway through the second half
to pull New Hampshire within 44-29, but BU pulled away with an 11-0
