DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) -- Sophomore Andrew Strait and junior Matt
Dlouhy poured in 17 points each to lead Montana past Drake 78-72 in
overtime in the championship game at the Drake Regency Classic on
The Grizzlies (7-1) led 67-64 with just 13 seconds remaining
when Al Stewart hit a 3-pointer for Drake (5-3) to tie the score
and send the game to overtime.
The score remained close during overtime, but Drake failed to
score after the 1:36 mark and Montana capitalized, scoring six
points off free throws by sophomore Matt Martin and senior Virgil
Matthews, who finished with 15 points and six rebounds.
Montana trailed 37-33 at the half.
Also scoring in double digits for the Griz was senior Kevin
Criswell, who had 16 points and tied a team-high four assists.
Al Stewart led the Bulldogs with 13 points, followed by Ajay
Calvin with 12 and Nick Grant with 11.
The Grizzlies return to action on Wednesday, when they play
Montana-Western at home.
