OGDEN, Utah (AP) -- Utah State's Jaycee Carroll scored a
career-high 30 points as the Aggies defeated in-state rival Weber
State 69-60 Saturday.
Carroll, a sophomore shooting guard, was 10-of-16 from the
field. The Aggies led 34-25 at halftime, and then built a 20-point
lead, 61-41, with 6:18 remaining and coasted the rest of the way.
Utah State (4-2) shot 53 percent from the field, its fourth
straight game with better than 50 percent shooting. The Wildcats
(3-5) were held to 39 percent shooting
Utah State's Nate Harris had 10 points and seven rebounds as he
surpassed the 1,000-point mark for his career.
Chaz Spicer came off the bench to contribute 13 points and six
rebounds. The Wildcats lost their fifth consecutive game and third
straight at home. WSU had not lost three straight home games since
the 1990-91 season. Utah State won its fourth straight over WSU.
Weber State's David Patton scored 16 points and Coric Riggs had
14 points and seven rebounds.
