WASHINGTON (AP) -- Brandon Bowman scored 16 points and Georgetown
hit 12 3-pointers Sunday to open a three-game homestand with a
76-51 victory over Fairfield.
Bowman shot 6-for-8 from the field, including 4-for-6 on
3-pointers to help Georgetown (4-2) take a 24-8 lead with 8:00 left
in the first half.
The Hoyas, who shot 12-for-34 on 3-pointers, led 39-20 at
halftime and never let the Stags (1-6) get closer than 17 in the
Jonathan Wallace, who made three 3-pointers, had 11 points and
six assists for Georgetown. Ashanti Cook also had 11 points for the
Hoyas, who played four of their first five games on the road and
lost their only previous home game to Vanderbilt.
