North Florida 81, Savannah State 62

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) -- Alain Laroche scored 21 points and
grabbed 14 rebounds to lead North Florida to a 81-62 win over
Savannah State, giving the Ospreys their first win ever over a
Division I basketball program.

Laroche scored 13 points in the first half to power North
Florida to a 49-35 halftime lead, and added eight more in the final
20 minutes. The 14 rebounds tied a season best as the senior
forward recorded his second double-double of the season.

Savannah State pulled to within 11 points with 13:26 left in the
game, but North Florida put together a 17-6 run over the next seven
minutes to stretch its lead to 22.

Three other North Florida players finished in double figures,
including Chris Timberlake with 13, Rashad Williams with 12 and
Aaron Caruthers with 11.

Savannah State's Javon Randolph led all scorers with 22 with
Jacksonville native Chris Linton adding 13.

North Florida dominated the boards by a 42-26 margin and hit on
52.7 percent of their shots while holding Savannah State to 41.8
