Oregon 75, Santa Clara 66

EUGENE, Ore. (AP) -- Ivan Johnson and Aaron Brooks scored 16
points each to lead five players in double figures as Oregon
defeated Santa Clara 75-66 on Tuesday.

Maarty Leunen recorded his second double-double of the season,
with 15 points and 11 rebounds for the Ducks, who broke a
three-game losing streak.

Malik Hairston and Chamberlain Oguchi also reached double
figures for Oregon (5-3).

Travis Niesen led Santa Clara (4-3) with 16 points.

The first half was marred by poor shooting from both teams, as
the Broncos (4-3) missed their first eight shots from the field and
finished the half at 30 percent.

The Ducks countered by shooting only 32 percent in the half
(9-of-28) and missed on their first nine 3-point attempts as Santa
Clara led 28-27 at the break.

The Ducks, however, snapped out of their slump in the second
half. Trailing 35-29 at the 17:24 mark, a tip-in by Bryce Taylor
sparked a 31-8 run to give the Ducks a 60-43 lead with 6:46 to
play.

Oguchi scored all 10 of his points during that stretch, and made
two of the Ducks' four 3-pointers in the run.

Back-to-back 3-pointers by Niesen and Calvin Johnson cut the
Ducks lead to 66-58 with 2:36 remaining, but the Broncos couldn't
get closer.

Field goals from Leunen and Hairston and five free throws sealed
the win.

Johnson and Brody Angley added 15 points each for the Broncos.

The Ducks hit only 6-of-27 3-pointers, but committed just a
dozen turnovers while forcing 21.
