BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (AP) -- Marcus Stout scored 18 of his game-high
22 points in the first half to lead Fordham to a 95-80 victory over
Fairfield on Wednesday night.
Fordham turned a two-point deficit into a commanding lead with a
21-0 run in the first half, and Stout scored 12 of those points.
The Rams (3-6) never led by fewer than 15 the rest of the game.
Corey McCrae, whose previous season-high was six points, scored
21 with six 3-pointers for Fordham. Bryant Dunston added 16 points
and 11 rebounds, and Jermaine Anderson scored 13. Stout added five
It was the second straight victory for the Rams, who started 1-6
before winning at Virginia.
Michael Bell led Fairfield (1-7) with 17 points and Michael Van
Schaick added 16 points and six rebounds.
It was the most points Fairfield has allowed at home since a
96-67 loss to Iona in 1999.
Fordham shot 48 percent for the game and 54 percent in the first
half. It made 11-of-22 from 3-point range and attempted 45 free
throws to Fairfield's 13.
