CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) -- J'Mel Everhart scored 22 points and pulled down eleven rebounds as The Citadel defeated Webber International 73-56 Thursday night.

The Bulldogs started slow in the first half, shooting 35 percent from the field, but benefited from three 3-pointers from Mark Schiavoni to take an 11-point lead into the half.

Webber International (2-11) never got closer than 10 points in the second half as The Citadel (6-3) extended its lead to as many as 19.

Demetrius Nelson earned his third double-double of the season scoring 12 and adding 13 rebounds.

Freshman forward Halston Schaffer led Webber International with 13 points and 8 rebounds.
