PITTSBURGH (AP) -- Carl Krauser had 21 points as Pittsburgh improved to 8-0 for the fourth consecutive season with a 63-52 win over Vermont on Saturday.

Aaron Gray added 11 points and 12 rebounds and Levon Kendall had 10 points for the Panthers, who have won 56 of their last 57 home games against non-conference opponents.

Kyle Cieplicki had 12 points to lead Vermont, which has no seniors and only two juniors on its roster.

The Catamounts (3-5), who had won three of their last four, made their first four shots but then missed nine of their next 11 from the field.

During that span, the Panthers went on a 17-0 run to turn a 15-7 deficit into a 24-15 lead. Pitt, which had trailed by a season-high eight points, never trailed the rest of the game.

Trailing 32-19 at the half, Vermont opened the second half on a 13-7 run, but could get no closer than six points. The Panthers had a 14-2 run midway through the second half to put the game away.

It was the seventh time in eight games this season that Krauser scored in double figures. He passed three players Saturday to move into 15th place on Pitt's all-time scoring list. His 1,289 are now more than Chevon Troutman, Bobby Martin and Sean Miller.
