JACKSON, Miss. (AP) -- Julius Young scored 19 points to lead
Jackson State to a 73-64 victory over Lipscomb on Saturday night.
Jackson State (4-6) scored the first nine points of the first
half and never trailed. Trey Johnson scored 15 points and Dakari
Wallace had 11 for the Tigers, who shot 49 percent for the game.
Lipscomb (4-4) beat Jackson State 75-62 a week ago and had a
three-game winning streak. The Bisons rallied in the second half,
shooting 50 percent from the floor to pull within 68-61 on a basket
from Eddie Ard with 31 seconds left.
But Young responded with a basket and foul shot with 26 seconds
remaining to push the lead back to 71-61, giving Jackson State its
second straight win.
